Short Introduction to Spanish Culture

This book is the result of many years of travel, of visiting every corner of my wonderful Spain, of reading extensively, of listening to many local guides in their explanations, and of informing my own groups about the places and cultures we visited during our trips. In no way have I intended to be exhaustive in my descriptions and explanations. It is not about overloading the visitor with a large amount of detailed information. My desire is to complement the visit to our country with useful information that will help them to better understand and enjoy the most significant expressions of our culture. That is why I have chosen the most typical and exotic topics, such as flamenco, Arab heritage, bullfighting, and the most dangerous predator in Iberian fauna, the Iberian Macho; which, being so genuinely "Spanish," need context and clarification. Always with the aim of complementing the visit to this country located between Europe and Africa, and between East and West, and therefore, a melting pot of different peoples and cultures.
