Randy B. Naquin was born on February 5, 1953, in Napoleonville, Louisiana (USA). He graduated from high school in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, in 1971 and joined the US Marine Corps in 1972. After two years of active duty, he attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for four years, earning a bachelor of science degree in 1978 in agronomy. While attending Southern, he worked for the US Department of Agriculture during the summer months in Louisiana and Wisconsin. He has written numerous articles on soil conservation projects and editorial comments on geopolitical enigmas of the times in which he lived, which have appeared in local newspapers and Southern University's Digest. This book is his most extensive written material by far, and it covers a wide range of subjects.
