Charlie Moreno murdered four men in cold blood. Now, he's on his way from Chicago to Kansas City, Kansas to commit one final act of vigilante justice: destroying his best friend Aimee's first abusers.

He reconnects with Aimee's brother, Troy, who has devised a plan of his own. But this plan puts Charlie in a position of submitting to a group of Christian fundamentalists who believe that he can pray the gay away. This emotionally-damaging experience only works to push Charlie further over the edge and drive a wedge between him and Troy. Charlie's mind spirals into terrible darkness while Troy begins to tip into a bipolar depressive episode that Charlie can only hope he will come out of in time.

Back in Boystown, Charlie's drag mama Tammy Pon is growing increasingly suspicious about Charlie's sudden leave of absence, and she begins to put the pieces together of a puzzle she'd rather not solve.

As Charlie faces his one chance of truly avenging Aimee's death, he grows keenly aware of the workings of his own mind. He knows that the love and support he has received throughout his life, especially from his mom and dad, have been a gift. It rips him up knowing that he's about to inflict horrible pain on the people who have loved him unconditionally...
