In Isle of Arran, three Ivy-League fraternity boys with political connections are in danger of not getting their college degrees due to failing a black professor's course. This conflict starts in modern times, but through a mystical portal they are transported to an alternative reality on the Isle of Arran in the 13th century. The boys come across people in their lives in this new reality, but the people don't know them. On the Isle the young men face the Professor with a much different reality. The professor is now a slave trader from Africa looking for slaves in the Scottish islands. This conflict rages over the island and builds into a winner takes all conflict. This war changes the fate of the young men and the world.
