The Adventures of Scarlett Maple Leaf

While author Esther Lang was walking on a beautiful fall morning, she watched the wind blowing a pretty, scarlet maple leaf, whirling it, chasing it up the walk, in front of her. The scarlet maple leaf seemed to enjoy the game, so she stepped carefully around the leaf, not wanting to step on it.

Esther wondered where it was going.

Was the wind blowing it on an adventure?

She was suddenly inspired to write a story about Wind and Scarlett Mapleleaf as they traveled, seeing the world.
