The central theme of the book is the Goodness of God that has never been preached or taught or written in any book before. As the world is plunging into deep confusion of good and evil, there is nothing more timely and relevant than the true knowledge of the Goodness of God which is the core value of true Christianity. The book has ten chapters.Chapters one opens with the story of the rich successful young man coming to Jesus asking about the good thing he should do to inherit the Kingdom of God in Mark 10:17. The reason people want to be good and try hard to do good is fundamentally because of the hope of going to heaven. Yet, regardless of how successful they are, and how good they try to be, they still don't have the confidence of reaching that goal.Chapter two continues with Mark 10:18. The lesson learned is that success and earthly virtue cannot guarantee access to the Kingdom. Regardless of how good man try to live by, there is no match with the Goodness of God because the plain truth is that no one is good except God alone.Chapter three gives a vivid contrast between the Goodness of God and the goodness of man which is also known as humanism. Humanism represents self-reliance, self-sufficiency and relies on self-effort. Yet, there is no manpower that can break the gate of heaven to invade the Kingdom of God. Chapter four brings encouragement with Mark 10:27 where Jesus affirmed that God, and only Him, can make man as good as He is to qualify them for access to His Kingdom because all things are possible with God.Chapter five reveals in part how to grow in the Goodness of God.Chapters six and seven remind and reemphasize Christians of their call to conquer the world and to make God famous.Chapter eight gives substantial methodology for a practical life to grow in the Goodness of God through many scriptural applications.Chapter nine elaborates on the call of the Church to rise out of her lukewarm condition to shine the Glory of God which is nothing less than the Goodness of God. Jesus will not come to rescue a broken, stricken, shaken, struggled church, but He will come for a glorious, victorious Church who is shining His Light to the dark world.Chapter ten encourages Christian with the Truth that they are God's treasure to His creation and when they surrender to let God's Goodness win them, then they can win the world with the Goodness of God.The book is short but filled with common sense that can easily resonate with people of different worldviews. A Buddhist admitted, "I felt like God was speaking to me to read this book." An atheist commented, "Is there a heaven or a hell? I don't know, but there is another spiritual realm outside this one we share." A non-Christian recommended, "If you are curious about Christianity, then this book is the book to begin with." In addition, there are resound agreements among Christians who have read the book to find it "enlightening," "inspirational," "amazing for Christians," "a compass in a moral storm," "thought provoking," "very powerful, revolutionary message," that is worth "recommended to any church goer!"In fact, this is God's Message, the new thing that will spring forth (Isaiah 43:19) for the Church and to the world "for such a time as this," that it is worthwhile for Christians to check out for themselves and judge appropriately.
