Summer Bible camp opens Fritz McCloud's eyes to the stark reality that he is not living for Christ in any significant way, and he determines that there is no better time to change than now. Other football players, even opposing teams, notice the difference. However, not everyone is fond of the change, and Fritz is put to the test. A classmate mocks him for reading the New Testament on a bus to one of their games, and even his dad doesn't gets uptight when Fritz's convictions impact family plans. A serious knee injury lands Fritz in the hospital, where he has plenty of time to think, pray, and prepare for the challenges that are inevitable when saying no to the world and yes to Jesus.
