Boyd Patterson, the local basketball star, is having a rough time. He claims the police and his teachers are all out to get him, but Danny Orlis knows Boyd's problems are bigger than that. Meanwhile, Danny's younger brother, Ron, who had been out chasing financial success, is hurt and confused by the recent death of Roxie, his twin sister. But Roxie's actions during her short life help challenge and change both Ron's life and their entire school.
