Junior Anthony Baker was born in a small community in Old Harbour, St Catherine, Jamaica. Born to Alfred and Marge Baker, he was brought up in Burks Road Old Harbor with four other siblings. Junior was often on the street and did not pay much attention to school. As a result, he struggled and didn’t learn to read or write, so he found comfort in the street with his friends.
Junior started smoking, drinking alcohol, and doing much more as he entered the teenage years. He was invited to church and gave his life to Jesus on the first night at 19. This night marked the beginning of his amazing journey and the new beginnings of his life.
Junior was mentored by Daphne Johnson and Victor Lynn Howden, who became his spiritual mothers. His spiritual walk started hungering for something deeper, leading him to seek the presence of the Holy Spirit. This search took him through a season of testimony, preaching, and ministering with other churches. During his ministerial work, he met his wife and married, and the Lord blessed them with three unique children, two of which were born on the mission field. To this very day, his life has been in God’s hand to do whatever He wants to do with it.
