This book is a collection of religious and inspirational poems written by Doris Jones over the years until her death. The residents of Eldorado, Arkansas remember Doris for her love of God and devout faith. It is this faith that motivated Doris to write many poems. Ron and Joyce Jones wish to share her writings with those who knew Doris and beyond. Her poems are very relevant today and will provide solace to those who read them and suffer from anxiety, stress, and hopelessness.
About the Author Doris Jones was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, in 1913. Her family moved to El Dorado in the early days of the oil boom. She was in the second grade but had to miss that school year because of overcrowding in the little school facilities they had. Doris got her first job when she was ten years old, making the huge amount of $2.00 per week. The job was taking up tickets at the door of a theater called the Rex. Doris attended First Church of God and gave God credit for her long life and the ability to work at El Dorado Printing and Stationary Company until the age of 85. Doris' hobbies included riding motorcycles with her son and fishing whenever she got the chance.
