The Intoxicated Soul is a book which tries to express the pain, love, anguish and longing that we all have experienced at least once in our life time. It is a compilation of 35 beautiful pieces coming from across the world. I believe that every person is addicted to something or someone but it is only the material things that are often talked about. But what about feelings or emotions? Isn’t an addiction of holding on to someone or something unhealthy for a human being? Isn’t being addicted to ‘giving too much’ harmful for one’s own mental peace? And when we talk about these kind of addictions, we realize, that it’s not that difficult to get rid of them if we put our mind to it but, it’s our heart that doesn’t allow us to do so. Because here, there’s a much deeper connection within your soul which makes it difficult to even accept the fact of getting rid of them. This book tries to express such feelings through poetry.
