David is a young author, gamer, homebody, kind of a shut-in, really, whose quiet imaginative life in Misawa, Japan becomes all too real and all too dangerous when an alien invasion rudely wakes him at the ungodly hour of 4:00 p.m.

When his nosey, cranky landlady escorts a large, scary stranger into David's bedroom and demands that he get up and out immediately, he's having none of it. But his outrage is quickly replaced by immobilizing shock at the horrific sights he spies out his bedroom window. Monsters, of varying sizes but all with a taste for human flesh, are swarming his neighborhood. The Edge of Today and the End of Tomorrow launches David into a world he's never known, one that rips him from his peaceful existence and thrusts him into life-and-death situations that he must rise to meet. He has a steep learning curve to become the man he needs to be to survive and to save the human race, a man he never imagined he could become.
