??Author, Michael Grimes, became deeply committed to his personal journey after intense experiences led to his first awakening in his early 20's. He solidified a foundation of self-development and spirituality that supported him in creating the life of his dreams. 15 years later, he was living on the beach, with his wife and daughters, serving as CEO of the revolutionary charter school he co-founded. He was on top of the world, living fully alive.
Then, his dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, he walked away from the school, and his marriage started to fall apart. His wife moved out on the same day as his dad's funeral.
In a year's span, he went from the highest peak he ever stood to the deepest valley he'd ever fallen.
He leaned even further into his self work and spiritual practices and tried every healing modality he could find. Slowly he rebuilt.
While doing so, he wrote. He captured the healing process and partnered it with sides of ancient wisdom, spiritual philosophies, and modern science to create a trail guide from the valley back to the summit.
