The Burning Sea of Iron Bottom Bay

Friday the 13th of November 1942 - WWII in the Pacific: Shadows knife through the sea’s obsidian canvas with ships of the US Navy and Imperial Japanese Navy on a collision course North of Guadalcanal. Probing search lights signal the moment of violence is at hand. The blast of massive naval guns shatters the calm as red streaks across the darkness betray the presence of shells that will tear metal to shreds and even worse to human flesh. Kyle von Bergen has no idea that a first-hand account of one of the most chaotic naval battles in history is sitting in the recliner of the ‘Crappy Apartment’ where he now lives with his recently divorced mother. In his teenage perspective, all he sees is inconvenience dealing with an old man who is moving in with them.
