This is a story about Farmer Mac and his fine black cat, Gustav. They lived on the Cherry Lane farm. It had a real farm kitchen where the lazy and overfed Gustav loved to relax. It is also a story about a dear mouse family and their neighbour, Ms Tinkles. Mr and Mrs Mouse and their five children lived next to the kitchen skirting board. But most of all, it is a story about kindness, friendship, tolerance and a love for animals, all animals.
