The Martial Arts of Poetry is a collection of poetry written over the span of a year and a half as I battled mental health struggles. I wrote so often and my thoughts became so deep that it became like therapy for me to write and release my words into verse. Over the span of 100+ poems, my goal was to show you, the reader, and myself, my growth as a person and as a poet over that time frame. I am also 35-years-old with a brain birth defect known as Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, where the middle part of my brain never formed at birth, so it provided me with the additional goal of proving to myself and others like me that we can do anything. YOU can do anything.
