My Digital collage series began when I took photographs of my large paintings from my undergrad and graduate studies. I would also use parts of the painting that had shapes dealing with symbols and recognizable shapes. Taking pictures of my paintings offers different concepts, especially when combing them with images dealing with the sky, panel wood images and sometimes pictures of rocks or flannel stripes. Working with abstraction has always been my strongest perception in art making. The ideal to add new visual images to a painting dealt with pattern and creating a new composition from an old ideal. The Ideal was to reconstruct Imagery from my paintings and drawings and use the concept to create a new body of work.
