Stella tells her life story growing up in Kenya. She was raised by a single mother and later became a single mother. She describes the struggles and desperation caused by extreme poverty in Kenya. Although Stella was able to get an education, cultural barriers kept her from meaningful employment. Amidst her financial trials, Stella is blessed with two beautiful baby girls. She loves her girls deeply and wishes to give them the life they deserve. Illness and continued financial strain drive Stella to consider aborting her most recent pregnancy. A much needed voice of hope and support came from an unexpected source, sending Stella's life on a new course.

This story is part of a new collection of works from African authors published published through MythicQuill Publishing. Our mission is to give under-represented authors a voice by sharing their stories around the world.
