Kyne was only a child when he had everything taken from him. His family was killed, his city burned to the ground, and his nation of Kydrea was conquered by the people across the sea, the Dominion of Gaeil. Narrowly avoiding Death, Kyne fled with a hatchling dragon, and an old sorcerer who had helped him escape.

Six years later, he is now at the forefront of the rebellion alongside his fully-grown dragon Ni'Bara. Every day brings challenges for them, but when they get word that the tyrant king Lord Aaldra is after an ancient artifact that will ensure the defeat of the rebellion, Kyne is joined by seven others on a dangerous mission. Every corner hides new enemies and dangers that will test the courage and strength of them all.

As the war for Kydrea begins, will Kyne manage to retrieve the artifact and defeat the conqueror of Kydrea, or will he fail, and his people fall under Lord Aaldra's rule forever?
