Alexandra and Esra have always known they are not quite human with their long, pointy ears. They keep them covered while out in public, but otherwise live normal lives. Then one night, their village was attacked. The girls, accompanied by Alexandra's brother Sam, embark on an adventure that will change their lives forever. The three escape certain death by fleeing in a canoe down the river.

After several days, the trio arrived at their mysterious destination. In the morning, two Fae (fairies) greet the young group. Alex, Esra, and Sam are magically transported to the land of the Fae. However, they discover they are not only Fae themselves but Fae royalty. They also come to learn about their elemental abilities. They'll spend the next few years learning about being Fae and training in combat, as all Fae are trained to be warriors.
