Sometimes people do or say things that hurt us. When this happens we feel sad, angry and scared.

But we are not alone in our pain. Jesus knows how we feel, because He was hurt by people too. When He came to Earth, He showed love to everyone. He healed the sick, did great miracles, and taught the truth about God. But some people did not like Him or believe he was the Messiah. They lied about Him, hated Him, and even hung Him on a cross.

Jesus did not deserve to be treated that way, just as we do not deserve to be treated badly. But He allowed Himself to suffer, because He loved us so much. He took our sins and pain upon Himself, so we could be forgiven and healed by God. He died, but He rose again. He is alive, and He is with us always.

Jesus understands our pain, and He wants to take it away. He can heal our hearts and make us whole again. Jesus gives us peace and joy, even when people hurt us. He can help us forgive and love those who hurt us, just like He did.
