Tucked under her favorite mermaid blanket, Gidget lay snuggled in bed when she heard a peculiar shuffling noise echoing from outside her window. Curious, she tiptoed over and opened the curtain. Outside, she spotted a tiny creature with pointy ears running in her garden. They saw each other and both yelled. Startled, Gidget stumbled backward and fell. "Ouch!" she grumbled, rubbing her bottom as she sat up, blinking at the window. "It's an Elf," she said out loud. She took a deep breath, picked herself up, dusted off, and peered out the window again. This time, she saw not one but four elves outside, looking lost and puzzled.
