'The Plane Crash' is the third in the series, after 'This Forest is Ours' and 'Just Leave us Alone!', about the fairies and leprechauns who still exist in a remote corner of the far west of Ireland. The novella is about a rude awakening by the modern world when a light plane crashes on the fairies' lovingly tended fields. There is only one person in the plane, the pilot, who is very badly injured and in a coma. He is clutching a metal case to his chest and has no identification on him. But is he going to wake up and, if he does, what kind of man is he?
