This is a collection of poems and haikus gathered together through the lifetime, thus far, of Curtis Church. Some are poems of love, some are observations of nature, some are of spiritual inspiration and devotion, and some are merely whimsical. Herein you will find pictures that express the author's concepts and feelings of the poems (although it is certainly hoped that the reader will also find their own inner image) and also haikus sprinkled in with the shorter (although to the point) poems. Curtis lived in Alaska for 22 years and many of the poems and haikus reflect this. The feeling of frigid wind whipping down mountain slopes, the ancient weight of glaciers, and new flowers poking their heads out of the snow after a long winter frequent these pages. There also unfolds a spiritual journey, a search for something, like the prince who searches for his long lost love, she who is hidden behind a veil of mist.
