The action in this novel, PFUMP - Partnership Funding Upper Midwest Pipelines - is triggered by three actual, simultaneous-occurring, explosive events; the shocking outcome of the 2016 presidential election, the sudden collapse of North Dakota's oil market, and the Sioux protesting that PFUMP pipeline construction.
