In a bizarre twist of science fiction, a 68-year-old M.I.T. science professor accidentally sends himself back in time and space to his nine-year-old life. Except... he's kept all his memories and knowledge.
In 1957, Lewis Coker received a second chance at life he didn't know was possible-a mishap in his M.I.T. lab sends him from Boston, Massachusetts to Moorhead Elementary School in Mobile, Alabama... over 50 years ago.
During his original timeline, Lewis had been conducting teleportation experiments at M.I.T. but got into a heated argument with the University comptroller's office. It had gotten so bad, they'd made their move to shut down his experiments. As they came to seize his life's work, he did the only thing he could think of in the moment-a desperate, dangerous attempt to teleport himself to the other side of the lab and out of their grasp.
Instead of the other side of the lab, he ended up unconscious on the floor of the gym of his elementary school as a nine-year-old.
Despite speaking the truth, no one believed Lewis, and he decided to take life into his own hands. Soon enough, he began to make inventions that changed the world.
Evil greedy men try to take his inventions for their own profit.
As the threats against his work and life mount, Lewis's once-confident control of the past-future happenings slip away. Villains bear down, and the struggle comes to a head.
Will Lewis be able to stop a terrible war from ensuing, or has the world already decided its own fate-including the collapse of society?
