This is the story of my life since the 1930's. The Great Depression had an economic effect on everyone, but the actions of the young toward others didn't change. There were those that made fun of another with a speech impediment, the clothes they wore, or call them names like "Bird legs", "Fats", or other derogatory terms.
Even today, that will continue during the adolescent years. But one must learn how to overcome, and PERSEVERE through ridicule, adversities, disappointments, and difficult times. It's up to the individual to recognize the importance of an education and make decisions early in life that can lead to success or failure. Opportunities are available for everyone that uses their talents to reach their goal.
