The purpose of this text is to serve as an introductionto the Thomistic theory of being in undergraduate schools where three or four credits can be devoted to this purpose. Becaue of its introductory nature, the text lays emphasis upon the fundamentals of the Thomistic theory, especially the theory of potency and act and its appHcation to the problems under consideration.
