Threescore and Ten is a book of reflections and remembrances of a country boy turned city pastor compiled throughout his seventieth year of life. These are the observations and opinions of a man who has been a preacher of the gospel for over fifty years, who became a widower during his seventieth year, and who had to alter and adjust his ministry far beyond his comfort zone because of the COVID pandemic. Travel with this pastor from the coast of Maine as he takes the reader through the dramatic and difficult changes that have engulfed Christianity in his lifetime, in ways not always to his liking! Within these pages, the reader will discover that this old-fashion man of the cloth believes that the philosophy of the Stranger of Galilee and the theology of Jesus of Nazareth are still relevant and could be prevalent again in the twenty-first century just like they were in the first century if only Christianity would return to the tenets and truths of the faith established by its founder, the Christ. Contained within this book is a lifetime of study, service, and supplications of a ""nobody who has tried to tell everybody about somebody that can save anybody""! This is the prayer of this threescore and ten pastor heading for fourscore: ""The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away"" (Ps 90:10).
