This is a tale of resilience and courage that will ignite curiosity, learning and compassion. I purposefully used the word "resilient" in the story because the Dingo, to me, is the epitome of resilience and survival in the harsh and unforgiving environment that is Australia. Not only has the Dingo survived - they have thrived for up to 10 000 years. I wanted to stress this. I have been teaching since 1979 and I have noticed a decline in the resilience of all, especially children. This is particularly distressing and severely hampers the learning progress. It must be addressed with purpose. Also, I love Dingoes - especially Lupa and Wiley - and admire all that they are. Ultimately, they are creatures of this planet upon which we all live.
