Kayden's Journey, The Adventure Begins is a fun book for children as well anyone who loves animals. Based on the true story of Kayden, the Scottish Terrier pup, the journey begins in Montana where 14 week old Kayden is adopted and taken on his first airplane ride to a city called Las Vegas. He is very sad to leave his Scottie Dog mom but also filled with expectation and excitement as he begins a new life in Nevada with his new adopted family. Kayden has many fun adventures during his first few weeks in Nevada as he meets all the neighbors and enrolls in doggie day camp. Unfortunately life changes in an instant as the Coronavirus reaches the United States and Kayden's world suddenly becomes very different and he is forced to cope with a variety of challenges. Kayden's hopes of going to school are also dashed as everything closes down. Having to stay home all day without any company was making Kayden feel pretty sad and lonely until he meets his best friend Moose. Moose, being older and wiser, gives Kayden lots of advice on growing up and guides him through a variety of adventures. The book includes many pictures and stories of Kayden's adventures as he and Moose explore their new world in Nevada and spend their summer vacation in Wyoming. It is a book filled with happiness and joy even during a time of uncertainty in the world. Kayden's amusing behaviors make his mom and dad and all his other human friends smile every day as the antics of a Scottish Terrier pup are never ending!
