(See the above) Spring weather shifts rapidly from rainy and windy days to chilly and mild nights. BEANS tries her best to capitalize on the quieter and drier afternoons and evenings. Her bike adventures with BOOGER continue to unlock parts of Mill Creek's neighborhood that she hasn't seen before. One particular Saturday night, upon turning the corner near Mill Creek Elementary School, BOOGER spots a disheveled old man clinging to the turret of his old Victorian house, its purple color hated by the locals. "That's Crazy Caleb, also known as C.C. Williams. He's the weird guy who shows up half dressed in the streets or stores around town," BOOGER informs his friend. The old man frantically flailing his arms in the air as if chasing away the clouds. On closer approach, they hear him yelling, "Get out of here, devil. The Jersey Devil. The Jersey Devil." Already on the scene, BEANS' friends BOOGER AND VITO RUSAMANO assist the local police then a delayed BEANS arrives in time to gather the mysterious details.
