Parental Suicide: What, When, How To Tell the Children

This book is written for those of you who have experienced a recent suicide in your family and are now faced with what to tell the child left behind. The chapters are divided into specific age categories; included in each are paraphrased conversations with people who have lived through the suicidal death of a parent or are a surviving parent or caregiver. This information is intended to be used as suggested strategies for the surviving parent or caregiver; knowing that each child who has survived a parental suicide is uniquely different and the events surrounding the death will vary greatly.
