Redemption

Redemption is the second installment of the Eliza & The Paladin series by Lisa Gayle. After successfully fending off the attack of the Creetans, Eliza marries Jayson and looks forward to a future without the constant threat of the return of the Creetans. Soon after the wedding, a powerful volcanic eruption forces the colonists, Dragons, and Kaando to evacuate West. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the colonists, the one who orchestrated the Creetan attack, Seraut, still lurks and prepares a second attempt to take the Dragons and Kaando. Eliza's mother, Sara, is captured by Seraut and used as leverage to reach the 'winged woman' whom he believes controls the Dragons and Kaando. Ero orders Eliza to the southern shore to recruit the leader of the Aquarey, an ancient, exiled species of Dragon, believing the Aquarey can sway the outcome of the conflict with Seraut. The Aquarey are deeply suspicious of Eliza, putting her further at risk. Help arrives from an unexpected ally, but will it be enough?
