Dark Powers

We had stepped into a trap for the second time this sun... This time I seemed to be the target... I could feel it watching and following my movements. It was all a trick... She killed Sengei to trick us. This is the real trap, the Chimera... If Ziminstric is responsible, then the Chimera must have come from the demon realm... Could her powers have grown so immensely since we left town... I don't think I have enough power or skills to defeat this thing or Ziminstric now. My thoughts were broken as Basmel shoved me over the side of my horse as the Chimera's claws passed where I sat seconds before. Faster than I could follow, the creature changed its attack. Swinging its long, spiked tail at me as I fell, striking me in the chest, sending me flying into the tall grass and brushes. I smashed into the ground, the air knocked from my lungs, making me relearn how to breathe. I lay there stunned, fighting to stay conscious, listening to the sound of someone being ripped apart so forcefully that I thought the Chimera was feasting on me. Then I heard it... A roar so loud that I felt the ground beneath me shake violently. That isn't the Chimera... it sounds like... a dragon... Was my last thought as my world went black.
