It's about a family of Hippos always trying to gather all year long, but all kinds of things happen in their lives to keep them from all getting together until the very end of the book. Uncle Herman has a hernia, Uncle Hamilton has a hockey tournament, Aunt Hazel and the cousins have sports tournaments, Cousin Harry has a theater production, and more. It is a book of gathering family together, and how hard that can be. But after covid, and so many other things that have separated families, this book is about hope and the reward of gathering together to celebrate the story our lives!
