Lost Woman Lake

Pike Point on Lost Woman Lake has been the center of the Maki family universe since 1922. Ray Maki, grandson to the original owner, has spent all of his thirty-three years living on the rugged edge of a million acre wilderness - the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of northeastern Minnesota. Ray is more than content to exist in a world of sky blue waterways and pristine woodlands. All the same, he is also blissfully unaware of his personal isolation. Little does he know the days ahead will flip his happy world upside down. Angie Holter can hardly wait to begin her overdue vacation. She feels the strong need to get away from the daily stresses of a busy St. Paul clinic, where she works as a Nurse Practitioner. A few relaxing days spent with her parents at their new lake home will be a welcome relief. But Angie soon discovers her search for peace of mind in the secluded north woods will not go according to plan.
