Celine is being hunted, has been hunted her whole life but she does not know that, yet. But when she awakens in a land filled with magic, strange beings and some of them actual aliens, she has to admit she's really in such a place. She must find her way home but she needs the help of an aged wizard named Magmus and a samurai warrior that too is in this plane of existence but has no desire to go home. Magmus believes Celine is there for a reason, to help save Qurio from an evil wizard who only wishes to destroy. Celine doesn't see how she can possibly help, she has no magical skills, only a physical prowess that her gymnastics have taught her. She was an Olympic Champion who stayed in shape through gymnastics and more recently, karate. She had easily advanced to black belt, but nothing could prepare her for what was ahead. Shay, a man from her own time and place will help her, but who very likely is in danger back in this world. After being kidnapped by the Snitwitch sisters, she manages to free herself and in doing so released the jinn of the gems. The jinn wants only to grant her three wishes but he is also intrigued by her answer. She does not trust jinns, with good reason. With a shape shifting alien as a spy, it was hard to trust anyone.
Even with a black unicorn as your main ride and a centaur as your guide it will be a challenge. With the help of a couple of dwarves, perhaps Celine will stay alive long enough to get the answers she seeks. Good thing and ancient sprite is willing to help her and keep her temporarily hidden, for a price. Her Zardonian warrior friends are willing to fight but an unexpected betrayal forces her hand and when it becomes clear she has no other choice, she makes a decision that she's been dreading all along.
