The ground shook violently, and the shadow let out a deafening scream as the bayou's power surged into it. The creature writhed and twisted, its form flickering as it tried to break free from their combined attack. But the magic of the bayou was stronger. The darkness had no place here, not in the heart of the land it had once tried to consume.

With one final, ear-piercing wail, the shadow collapsed inward, imploding into itself. The clearing was bathed in a brilliant flash of light, and when it faded, the creature was gone.
