I took a vow of celibacy 4 years ago, and I kept it. I would reject all things that could lead to sex or present the idea of sex: kissing, holding hands, shoulder rubs, going out to dinner, watching romantic movies to include avoiding my favorite movie genre, romcoms.
Recently, I have gone public about wanting to date and have a healthy marriage union. Over the past 10 years, the Lord has shifted my mentality on dating. Previously, my mentality was Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Holy, holy, holy- leaving zero room for men because I heeded the voice of the Father and put away youthful lusts (2 Timothy 2:22). I was a huge advocate of not dating, so I did exactly that; I did not date. Some even could have called me a nun over the past few years of my life.
I have heard the argument where the general populace blames single mothers for raising men who don't respect women. This is entirely baseless because I know men who were raised in a two-parent household and treated women like a piece of meat that were meant to be chewed up, spit out, and thrown away.
The modern way of dating requires both men and women to expend their most valuable resources, while the modern-day woman exacerbates the issue. She hardly has any real boundaries- changing it from one man to the next.
Over the past couple of months, I have been seeking God for His promises concerning a marital union and companionship, and His answer to me was that you shall be blessed in the field. He has required me to rise early in the morning and get to work. He is a faithful God, El Emunah because He has revealed the pattern of consistency that will lead to a miracle, like Ruth.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NKJV tells us this:
"Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor. (V 10) For if they fall, one will lift up his companion, but woe to him who is alone when he falls, or he has no one to help him up. (V 11) Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?
In this book, I discuss apparel, miracles, and trusting God while waiting for a help meet.
???????This is my testimony.
