The Pepper Mailbox is a short story for children about the adventures of a family of spiders living in a mailbox and their child, Jeffery.

The name on the mailbox is Pepper. The spider family assumes that Pepper is their last name.

Jeffery and his family live through the close calls with a school bus and a group of termites, but in the end, Jeffery learns some critical life lessons, and he and his new family live happily ever after.
