Darby works in a small town cafe and takes business classes in her free time.

Over a year ago, her dreams, and her confidence, were crushed to meringue powder by a well-known food critic who wrote a scathing review about her restaurant. Because of him, everything fell apart and Darby had to return to her hometown to pick up all the crumbs and try to make something edible.
