Awake in the Darkness tells of the depths of my coma, time becomes an abstract concept, a tangled web of fleeting moments and hazy recollections. For about six to eight weeks, I floated in a realm of darkness, my consciousness a fragile thread tethered to the world. These fragmented memories are not shaped by the narratives others shared with me later, but are my own, raw and unfiltered. In the abyss, I found myself grasping at the edges of reality, trying to piece together the puzzle of my existence.
