Moreover the meanings of words have and continue to evolve over time. Some old words have lost their original meaning, changed in meaning, and ultimately have been removed from our language or abridged due to rare secular usage.
The Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible was first published in the year 1890. This monumental work is now in the public domain. As of this writing, many other extended or expanded editions are available of that work. When using the Hebrew and Greek dictionaries of said book one will encounter words not commonly used in modern English, words that have taken on new meanings, and many words simply not found in modern dictionaries. Quite simply the modern reader is left out of wits or even deceived. Also Bible translators have no method to ascertain the level of literacy of any one of a multitude of English readers. Moreover English can be a secondary language to many readers.
