This book recounts many memories and experiences of the author after learning to play his chosen instrument, the Irish bodhran drum. Although always a fan of various music genres, John learned to play an instrument later in life (age 47). Through dedicating a lot of time to daily practice, he began to be recognized by people of stature in the field of Irish and Celtic music for his extraordinary ability to play that drum. He also witnessed how music affects people, often in positive ways. Follow the author's journey as a relative neophyte within the field of musical performance as his abilities became revealed and appreciated. This book was written in hopes that it may enthuse others to explore their desires within music, whether through instruments, vocals, or dance.
