It's around midnight, streets empty and a car pulls up next to us. They look nervous and since we had new computers in our cars and were told to practice with them, I decided to run the plate. Bam, it comes back stolen and the chase is on. After a few minutes they stop near an old beat-up house. My guy runs to the back door and Mike's guy runs to the front door. The guy tries to slam the door just as I get to it and I jump and kick it open. The door comes off the hinges and knocks my guy down and lands on top of him. I jump on top of the door as he struggles to get out. It brought back my old surfing days keeping my balance. Mike soon appears with his guy and smiles at the predicament my suspect is in. Footnote the case was dismissed because we had no cause to run the license plate in the first place.
