Cassie Yoshida should have-but foolishly had not-anticipated that Third Eye, the event-prediction software she had developed, would attract the attention not only of law enforcement, but of the highest levels at the NSA. All of which meant that suddenly her ground-breaking research and developments, as well as Cassie herself, became objects of 'National Security'. But she had no intention of turning into just another cog in the operations of organizations that would make her an effective prisoner. And so she decided not to cooperate-with predictable and shocking consequences.

FBI Special Agent Terry Wheeler was determined to beat the NSA to finding Cassie, who, having found unexpected help, had gone underground and was nowhere to be found.
