Young Adult fiction that can be enjoyed by all. Three sci-f i / fantasy novellas linked by the theme of 'reality, ' something we perceive only indirectly: what we identify as reality is only a brain construct based on the limited input of our five senses. As 'Arthur' a character in the first story points out: "Our five senses only give us a fragmented approximation of reality. The identical 'reality' observed by an alien with multiple senses would be quite different, but nothing in nature can perceive absolute reality." All of the stories work on the assumption that we live in a multi-reality universe, one universe amongst many, where anything can, and does, happen, and nothing we can imagine is too bizarre to be considered. 'Common sense, ' that most unreliable guide to the truth, is not a factor to be taken seriously, but all the scenarios described in these fictional accounts have an internal structure and logic, even though fantastical, and who is to say how far they diverge from reality? The novellas have all been published independently, but in this print trilogy all three are available for close to the price of one.
