A dystopian science fiction novel that will blow your mind.

It does not depict a possible future, as most dystopias do, but a recent past that could have been.

The narrator, a journalist specializing in child abuse cases, tells how, when she wants to turn her professional career around, she is dragged into covering the most notorious case of child abuse in the history of the United States.

Alan Steinmann, the CEO of a large technology company, and Jorge Pedraza, the head of the FBI's Child Exploitation Investigation Unit, have created a fake pedophile website called tendercandy to attract criminals to hunt down. This website can remain indexed thanks to a controversial law pushed by Senator Patrick Weiss, which regulates some activities that until then had been unsuccessfully tried to be banned.

Paul Blackmouth is a pedophile, scheming, egocentric, and despicable, with a certain talent for magic, which he uses to hunt his victims: defenseless minors, whom he subdues with the extreme malice and cruelty that defines him. He has created an alter ego to commit his crimes: a magician who calls himself The Great Mizusan.

But that's just the beginning of the story.

It is a novel that raises several moral debates: What could be the best policies to reduce the number of sexual assaults on minors? What responsibility do the media, technology companies, and social networks have in the normalization of aberrant behavior? Do the ends justify the means? Do we know what our children are exposed to?
