John Nash is a 40-year-old American doctor. To overcome the pain caused by his separation from his wife, he traveled to Israel to visit the territory of his idol Jesus. When he returned home, he discovered that he had brought back two ancient scrolls written in Greek in an old bag bought in the Middle East. Intrigued and worried, Dr. Nash puts the documents in a safe place in a bank and begins to learn classical Greek in order to translate his relic. He discovers that it is a letter sent by Jesus himself to Bishop Linus 30 years after the crucifixion. It is clear that he did not die on that occasion and that he was not resurrected either. The existence of the letter is disclosed and the Catholic Church, with the Pope at the head, begins a persecution to destroy the letter.
